Confidence Doesn’t Equal Competence
Repeat after me: It is *not* about qualifications, it is about strategy & execution that will determine your success.
Say what, Ashlee?!
Yes, this is SO true because under qualified people achieve the success they want simply because they know what to say, how to say it, and how to execute on it.
And, the "it" in this statement means anything you want "it" to mean. The goal, the job, the success, the promotion, the plan...
Why is this so?
Because it is not about WHAT you know!
It is how you strategically position yourself as the go-to expert, and how you communicate and execute on what you DO know... even if it is not that much.
It is that simple.
And, this goes for every level: entry level employees, entrepreneurs, physicians, lawyers, designers, business owners, CEO's, VPs, etc. etc. etc.
What is the difference between a strategic executer and someone who struggles with their confidence?
There is A LOT in there, but one major area I've been seeing lately is excessive feelings of self-doubt or unsureness, which may ultimately lead to imposter syndrome.
Imposter syndrome knows no limits.
Every level of success has its own new devil of confidence, or lack thereof, to conquer.
I've been coaching high level professionals for over 3 years now, and it never ceases to amaze me who struggles with self-doubt, low self-esteem, and decision fatigue.
