Mission Statement vs. Vision Statement
This week I was interview prepping a client, and she asked me to review the differences between a Mission Statement vs. Vision Statement.
This is such a great question.
Let's review the difference together.
Mission Statement: short summary of a person's or an organization’s core intention, purpose, & goal. Traditionally, this includes 2-3 sentences describing what the person or organization does and their key objectives.
Vision Statement: states the current and future objectives of an organization. It is intended to use as a guide to help the person or organization make decisions that align with its philosophy and declared mission statement
Your mission statement is the "what" and the "how" of your goals.
Your vision statement is the "how" in accomplishing the mission statement.
RX Ashlee Mission Statement is: to teach female healthcare professionals how to articulate their value, leverage their expertise, & stand out in a competitive marketplace.
